Slick-Ass Machined-Out Boat-Jams
Sean (from Repeating Frank and early Summer Gets Electric fame) returned from almost seven years away living the West Coast LA dream shortly before the big Summer Gets Electronic ‘A Cosmic Alignment’ jam. Josh had just acquired some new toys (a Micro-Korg and M-Audio Venom Analog) and when Sean arrived in early evening, they began laying down some machined-out boat-jams – all old-skool dirt-beats, analog warbles, and slick-ass chilled guitar.
The ‘sea NX change‘ album is full of afternoon jams, while the ‘sea NX change 2‘ EP starts ridin’ out into the darker evening time. The name and graphic style is an obvious nod to Coastal Exchange, which was originally planned to be a project between the two when Sean moved out to LA (hence the name). Nice to see it come full circle.
